In addition to free tax return preparation, individuals may also file electronically (e-filing) through HOPES Individuals taking advantage of the e-file program receive their refunds quicker (almost half the time) than paper filed returns - even faster if you have your refund deposited directly into your bank account. Savers' Club

Through HOPES Savers' Club, qualifying individuals are able to establish what's called an Individual Development Account (IDA). This special matching savings account is designed to enable participants to save a targeted amount of money that can be used to build assets in the form of home ownership, college education, and small business ownership.

In partnership with Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union and through a grant made available by the US Department of Health and Human Services, for every $1 a participant deposites into their account, a match of $3 will be deposited into that same account.

As part of this program, participants receive free financial literacy training that will assist with developing and maintaining their savings plan. For more information about asset building classes and workshops, please see following section.
