At HOPES, we believe in nurturing the potential of every child and creating a brighter future. Our comprehensive apprenticeship program is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to excel in the field of early childhood education.
What We Offer:
Hands-On Classroom Experience: As an apprentice in our program, you will complete 28 hours of valuable classroom experience each week. 25 hours are paid wages at NJ minimum wage rate, and 3 hours are counted as in-kind contributions.
Educational Support: HOPES covers the cost of your CDA course, books, and testing (approximate value: $600), ensuring that you have the resources you need to succeed.
Credentialing: We understand that time is of the essence. With our program, you can complete the CDA Credentialing Course and practicum within just 5 months of starting.
Full-Time Employment: Upon successful completion of the program, you'll be hired as a full-time, 12-month EHS Teacher, eligible for benefits. You'll earn a pay increase to $16 / hour for 35 hours each week, allowing you to continue your journey with HOPES.
Minimum Requirements to Apply: (Must be fully met in order to qualify for apprenticeship)
Background Check: You'll need to complete a background check to ensure the well-being of our little learners.
Education: High School Diploma or GED is required to enroll in this program.
Language Skills: Effective communication is key in early childhood education. You should be proficient in English, both spoken and written, to comprehend, process, interpret, and follow instructions found in various documents and references relevant to the job.
