Volunteer Opportunities in Early Childhood Programs

Volunteering with Early Childhood programs offers a rewarding opportunity to support young children's development, whether by assisting in the classroom or helping with food services. As a Classroom Assistant, you'll work alongside educators to engage infants, toddlers, or preschoolers in activities that promote learning and growth. Alternatively, as a Food Services Assistant, you'll help ensure children receive nutritious meals. Volunteers who commit to more than 5 hours per week undergo criminal and child abuse background checks to ensure safety. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact, gain experience, and contribute to the well-being of children and families.

Volunteer Opportunities in Community Programs

Volunteering with Community Programs offers diverse opportunities to support youth, families, and adults. You can mentor, tutor, or assist with activities for children ages 6-18, or contribute to special programs like Family Game Nights, where you'll help plan, decorate, and assist with crafts and games. Volunteers with skills in visual arts, music, math, coding, and other areas are especially needed.

Additionally, you can teach Adult Basic Education or ESL classes (Fluency in Spanish or Chinese languages is helpful but not required; must have teaching experience), or assist with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, helping prepare simple tax returns (January through April). Flexible hours and training are provided, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on your schedule. Whether helping youth, teaching adults or supporting community events, your volunteer work will make a lasting difference.
